OUR HOME AND COMMUNITY

Our Home and Community: Welcome

We currently own a home in beautiful Central Virginia.  We love decorating and have made our home into a comfortable, welcoming place.  There is plenty of outdoor space with a fenced-in backyard and beautiful patio where we spend many summer nights.

When we are not with our pets watching Netflix at home, we are actively exploring our surrounding community and local cities.  It is a wonderful place to live that offers adventures for all interests.  Whether it is exploring a new restaurant or coffee shop, walking our dog in the many beautiful parks around the city, or going to a local theater to see a show or concert, we love being a part of this community and experiencing everything the city has to offer.

We live just 5 minutes from a large, local park, one of our favorite places to spend a warm Saturday with Rhea.  There is also a local elementary school right down the street from our house with a wonderful playground and open fields.  Our house is located in a wonderful school district that is known for celebrating diversity and encouraging strong connections with families and their communities.  Some other great local points of include the Children's Museum of Virginia and the Science Museum of Virginia.

Our Home and Community: Testimonials

Rhea is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet.  We rescued her when she was about one year old in 2019 from the Charlottesville SPCA.  We are unsure of her breed but believe her to be a mix between a German Shepherd and Black Nose Cur.  She is fiercely loyal, mild-mannered, well-trained, and has experience being around children.  She also gets along well with all other animals and takes a great interest in other dogs and cats (much to the chagrin of our two cats).

Our two cats are sisters of the same litter that we adopted from Richmond Animal League in the fall of 2016.  Their favorite things are cuddling (on their own terms), sleeping, and watching birds from our various windows.  Their names are a testament to our shared "nerdy" sides as we are both big fans of the TV show Game of Thrones.    They have been around children in the past and we know they will love playing with our future child.
